Privacy policy

Who we are

taste redesigns your product's UI and rewrites the copy inside it, in the code you already have, and ships it back as a pull request. This policy covers what happens to your information when you visit this site, book a call, or work with us. If anything here is unclear, email hello@taste-ui.com.

What we collect

• When you book a call. Booking runs through Calendly. That means the name, email address, and anything else you type into the booking form — like your company or what you want redesigned — pass through Calendly to us.
• When you email us. If you write to hello@taste-ui.com, we keep your message and your address so we can reply.
• When we work together. To do the redesign we need read access to your repository and permission to open a pull request. We see the code you give us access to, and the notes we take during our sessions.

This site does not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics. We don't build advertising profiles, and we don't fingerprint you.

What we don't touch

We work on the frontend only, and we don't need production access to do it. We don't touch your production systems, your database, or your users' data. Read access to the repo and permission to open a PR is the whole ask.

How we use it

• To reply to you, schedule our sessions, and figure out whether we're a good fit.
• To design and write the redesign, and to open the pull request you review and merge.
• Because we're new, the first 20 redesigns are free in exchange for permission to show the before and after. We only ever publish your before/after with your explicit consent — if you'd rather we keep it private, that's the default and it stays that way.

Who else sees it

We use a small number of services to run the business, and your information passes through them only as needed:

• Calendly — scheduling and the intake form.
• Your code host (GitHub, GitLab, or wherever your repo lives) — this is where we're granted read access and open the PR.
• Email — to correspond with you.

We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with anyone beyond what's needed to do the work above.

How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as we're talking or working together, and for a reasonable period afterward for our records. You can ask us to delete what we hold about you at any time and we'll do it, except where we're required to keep something for legal reasons.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you, and you can withdraw permission to show your before/after at any time. Just email hello@taste-ui.com and we'll take care of it.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. Since taste is new, expect this to get more specific as we grow.
